´Cornwall II´, 10x10 cm

A small original landscape inspired by the wild and peaceful beauty of Cornwall. Soft layers of colour suggest distant hills, open countryside and the changing light of the Cornish coast.

There is something wonderfully atmospheric about Cornwall – the meeting of land and sea, the wide skies and the feeling that the landscape continues far beyond what the eye can see. This little painting captures a hint of that feeling in a simple, semi-abstract composition.

Cornwall II looks particularly beautiful together with Cornwall I and III. Displayed as a set of three, they create a harmonious little series, like three treasured impressions from the same coastal journey. Yet this painting also has a quiet charm when displayed on its own.

The Velcro hanging system allows the painting to be mounted onto a mat board (passepartout) inside a frame, creating an especially delicate presentation.
