´California III´, 10x10 cm

A tiny landscape inspired by the soft light and open beauty of California. Gentle hills and distant landscapes emerge through expressive, semi-abstract shapes, while warm colours create the feeling of sunlight resting over the countryside.

This little painting is less about a specific place and more about a moment and a feeling – the warmth of the sun, the freedom of an open landscape and that quiet sense of being somewhere far away.

Together with California I and II, it makes a beautiful little set. The three paintings can be arranged side by side or grouped together to create a personal collection of Californian landscapes. But California III is just as charming on its own, especially when mounted with its Velcro hanging system onto a mat board (passepartout) inside a frame.
